A peristaltic pump, also commonly known as a roller pump, is a type of positive displacement pump used for pumping a variety of fluids. The fluid is contained within a flexible tube fitted inside a circular pump casing (though linear peristaltic pumps have been made). Peristaltic pump moves liquid through a tube that has no contact with any mechanism of the pump, making the pump ideal for moving chemicals or liquids without the danger of cross-contamination.
