Oriwen Fluidics specialized in manufacturing solenoid pinch valves or isolation valves and micro pumps which are applicable to medical and analytical instruments. Now launched is a chemically inert, fixed-dispensing diaphragm electromagnetic self-priming micro pump, M-21 series. OEM service is also provided.

Wide range of dispensing volume settings and flow rate range

The factory-set single dispensing range of the self-priming micro pump is 20 to 60ul, the maximum pulse frequency can reach 2.0Hz, and the maximum flow rate can reach 7.2ml/min. After the dispensing volume is set, it can stably achieve a high accuracy, and the relative deviation will not exceed 5%, which is suitable for various medium and low pressure system applications. Please consult us for higher accuracy requirements.

 

Self-priming

When the micro pump is activated, the air is discharged first. The large-sized pump can automatically absorb 1.3 meters of water column from the pressureless container below. When working normally, it generates 0.3 bar pressure, which is equivalent to 3.5 meters of water column pressure.

 

Complete assortment of inert liquid-contact materials

The liquid flow path of the micro pump is made of non-metallic inert materials and can be used for highly corrosive liquids. The standard pump body material is PPS (polyphenylene sulfide). Other optional pump body materials are: PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), PEEK (polyether ether ketone resin) and Delrin (polyoxymethylene resin DuPont Company of the United States). The materials for the diaphragm are PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) and EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber). The materials for the check valve are EPDM (artificial rubber), Viton (the trade name of DuPont's fluorine rubber material, FKM), perfluoroelastomer ( Perfluoroelastomer, FFPM, FFKM).

 

High reliability

The micro pump is designed for continuous operation, ensuring 20 million normal electromagnetic strokes, which is equivalent to 3,000 hours of continuous operation at a working frequency of 2.0 Hz.

Working pressure range

In order to achieve the best precision control, the pressure difference between the outlet and inlet of the micro pump should be as consistent as possible, and maintained between ±0.03bar=30cm water column and 0Bar. When the micro pump inhales, there is suction at the inlet; when it spit out, there is positive pressure at the outlet. As long as the hydraulic pressure does not exceed the maximum suction, the pump will cut off the flow path when it is not working. To ensure normal operation, do not let the pressure at the inlet exceed 2psi (equivalent to 120cm water column pressure). Even if the pump is closed, the internal one-way valve can prevent the liquid in the flow path from flowing back.

Working frequency

When operating the electromagnetic micro pump, first apply the rated voltage to the pump coil (intake stroke), then cut off the power (discharge stroke), and repeat this cycle. To achieve optimal dispensing accuracy, the pump should maintain the minimum power-on time and minimum power-off time shown in the following table within one cycle. If the pump needs to operate at a frequency lower than the maximum frequency, the power-on time must be kept unchanged and the power-off time must be appropriately extended. When starting to work, the micro pump should switch between power on and power off for one minute.
